Extract only the pages you need

Type a range such as 1-4,34 or pick pages from the thumbnail grid. The tool builds a new PDF containing just those pages, in the order you chose.

Ranges and clicks together

Mix typed ranges with clicked thumbnails: select pages one by one, add a range, and the selection updates before you generate anything.

Made for big study PDFs

Coaching notes and previous-year papers often run to hundreds of pages. Split out one unit or one paper and keep just that file on your phone.

Nothing to install

The split runs in the current browser tab on Windows, macOS, Linux, Android or iPhone — no app-store visit, no plug-in.

The output keeps original quality

Selected pages are copied as-is: fonts, vector lines and embedded images keep their original resolution, and the page size does not change.

Files stay on your device

The PDF is opened and written inside the browser. No copy of the file is uploaded, so confidential documents remain with you.

When to split a PDF with Vytra Split

Split extracts the pages you need into a new, smaller PDF. Typical uses: pulling the admit-card page out of a large file, extracting one unit from a study PDF so it fits an email attachment limit, separating a combined circular into per-department copies, or cutting a 200-page handbook down to the five pages that mention your exam centre. The range box accepts patterns like 1-3,7,10-12, so you can grab scattered pages in one pass instead of cutting repeatedly.

Splitting is also a privacy habit: when an officer needs three pages, send three pages, not the whole 200-page file. The output is a normal PDF with the original page size and orientation preserved, and it can be compressed further if needed. For study workflow, separate a combined textbook into per-unit files and revise one unit at a time without carrying the whole book on your phone. Nothing is uploaded at any point.

Common problems and how to fix them

A quick example

A 36-page previous-year paper: you want only questions 1-8 (pages 1-4) and the answer key (page 34). Enter 1-4,34 and you get one 5-page PDF that is quick to print and easy to revise from.

One more use students rely on: pull the answer key or the last few solution pages out of a large PDF so you can check them beside your own attempt on paper.

Questions and Answers

Pick your PDF and the thumbnails appear as soon as it is read. Keep pages by clicking them in the grid, or type a range such as 1-5,8 in the range box. Press "Split PDF Now" and the new file downloads straight away.
Yes. Click thumbnails one by one, or type a pattern like '1-5, 8, 12' in the range box — the output contains exactly those pages, in the order listed.
No. Vytra copies the original PDF content streams and embedded vector assets directly without recompression, so 100% of original fidelity and text sharpness is preserved.
All extraction and splitting happens locally on your computer or phone using WebAssembly. Your files are never sent across the internet to third-party servers.
